Some of the most loved and well known music of all time was made popular by the swing bands of Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, and many others during the 1930s through the 1950s.

SWINGTOPIA is one of the best small bands on the scene today specializing in the instrumental music of the swing era. Doug and Cyndy Elliott are the co-leaders of this octet, which consists of some of the finest musicians in Washington DC who have been touring together with groups including the Artie Shaw Orchestra, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, the Harry James Orchestra, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra, throughout the world, thrilling big band aficionados and swing dancers alike.
